Apple Music Now Available on PlayStation 5!

Apple Music is now available on PlayStation 5!

Announced on PlayStation.Blog, PlayStation 5 consoles will now integrate Apple Music. PlayStation 5 users with an Apple Music subscription will be able to listen from Apple Music’s more than 90 million song catalogue and curated playlists as well as watch music videos in 4K.

However, rather than turning the PlayStation 5 into a glorified speaker system, Apple Music is well integrated with the PlayStation 5’s gaming experience.

First, background music play will be enabled. This means that music can be played during a gameplay session. Whether starting the music beforehand or in game, players will now be able to play songs of their choosing or get recommended songs that match the vibe of the current game.

Additionally, there will be seamless music video playback. When watching a music video on Apple Music, players can quickly transition into a game or other menu in the PlayStation 5 and the music will continue playing. Once players decide to go back to Apple Music, the music video will be seamlessly playing from the right point at the song.

Apple Music is available now to download for the PlayStation 5.
