Apple WWDC is coming back! The company just sent their invite for the developer-centric event so we have all the deets you’re wondering about: dates, the theme as well as a new challenge.
This year’s WorldWide Developer Conference will be taking place in summer as Apple is keeping a close eye on their annual schedule.
The exact dates are: June 6 – June 10. During those four days, the online-only event will reveal Apple’s work in the OS area. While this is targeted towards developers first and foremost, consumers will have the opportunity to hear what the team is cooking in terms of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.
“Get a first look at Apple’s latest platforms and technologies in sessions, explore the newest tools and tips, and connect with Apple experts in labs and digital lounges”, reads their invitation for WWDC 2022.
The “theme”? Call to code. A pretty straightforward call to actions, inviting folks to unite and participate in the festivities.
That rings especially true since, besides the conferences, there will be a Swift Challenge for students.
“Swift Playgrounds is a revolutionary app for iPad and Mac that makes learning the Swift programming language interactive and fun. For this year’s challenge, students from around the world are invited to create a Swift Playgrounds app project on a topic of their choice, and they can submit their work through April 25.” reads Apple’s statement.
