If you thought the dual slider design was dead, think again.
Serial leakster Evan Blass put up a few pictures on Twitter of a Zenfone 5, as imagined by Asus designers that show a smartphone which features solid LED lights for the selfie camera as well as a front loudspeaker.
But there’s more than one design and on both of them, the designers envisioned a smartphone that does not give up or sacrifice either the selfie camera or the loudspeakers, while still keeping the phone’s bezels to a minimum and using up as little screen space as possible.
The bottom slider for the second design reveals a few additional controls for the rear camera.
It looks like Asus liked the design enough to even build up a few dummy versions of it, to test out the ergonomics.
Of course, none of these phones come with any specs – they’re just concept photos and, until Asus tells us not to, we should treat them as nothing more than that.
But it’s worth mentioning that, if the designs are well-received by the public, it is possible that Asus will consider them for a future release. What do you think: love it or hate it?
