It’s the season to spread some holiday cheer, and Tesla is no stranger to this. This year, the company announced that is going to offer customers free Supercharging on off-peak hours to help curb traffic during the holidays at charging stations.
Not once owners have experienced extreme wait times to get a charge at Supercharger locations and since then, the company has been testing with discounted Supercharging rates to encourage owners to transit during off-peak times. Although successful at times, some stations are still encountering long lines, so the company is bringing back its discounted Supercharging for the holidays, this time free.
The company’s website encourages owners to “avoid the rush this holiday season and charge for free during off‑peak hours at Superchargers along select travel routes in the United States.”
Supercharging is going to be free before 10 AM and after 7 PM between December 23 and Sunday, December 26.
