Formula E might have pioneered the electric cars-only race, but Roborace wants to take it one step further employing driverless cars. Tron:Legacy designer, Daniel Simon, was responsible for the first look of the Robocar, one mean, Sci-Fi-looking, four-wheeled vehicle.
Later this year or at the beginning of 2017, the world’s first driverless race will begin and although plenty of details are under wraps, we found out how the first car in the competition will look like. Beautiful from front to tail, Simon’s first design embraces aerodynamics fully: “[I wanted] to create a vehicle that takes full advantage of the unusual opportunities of having no driver without ever compromising on beauty”.
Indeed, Robocar is sleek and futuristic, with plenty of space for automotive manufacturers to place their branding on, as the industry is more active than ever. It could reach 300 kilometres per hour, making it hard to observe but extremely exciting to pursue.
