R5 Rocket Skates were inspired by Inspector Gadget, the cartoon character that embraced technology fully when we were kids. The R5 model has hub motors controlled by an on-board microprocessor that enables them to propel you five miles at speeds up to 7mph, with the Lead boot weighing 7lbs and the Follower, 3.5 lbs. The R10 RollerSkates is a newer model that offers up to 12 mph speed, but weighs a little bit more – 7.5 lbs.
