Crown Cruiser E-Bike on Indiegogo Is Part Retro, Part Futuristic

Always looking for ways to reduce your impact on the environment? Choosing an e-bike is certainly one of them. CrownCruiser created the coolest one we’ve seen in a while, with a carbon fiber frame, and that is completely crowdfundable on Indiegogo.

With a sleek frame – at least for a motorcycle – made from ultra-strong carbon fiber, Crown Cruiser is 100% emissions-free. It works on a swappable battery of either 36V or 48V that offers a 100 mile range.

There are two motor sizes you can go with. Either you opt for a pedal-assisted system (PAS) but you stick to speeds of about 15.5mph at 250W or you combine PAS with throttle and count on a stronger 750W motor. Going with the latter will also help you get faster around the city at speeds of 31mph.

The bike has several features that easily put it in the smart vehicle category such as anti-theft defense, GSM location tracking, accelerometer sensor, Bluetooth, and a companion app that gives you an idea of your riding stats.

The sensor mentioned before also communicates with the app and, in the case of an emergency, allows it to call a friend or family to help you out.

The design of the bike itself is a great blend of retro and futuristic elements in a black coating. However, the manufacturer says you can customize it in a variety of colors and skins.

We’ve worked hard to create a bike that our design-conscious community can ride where they want, safely and in style – with minimum impact on the planet’s resources and their wallet” said Adebola Adeleye, founder of CrownCruiser Motors.

Before going up on Indiegogo, CrownCruiser received support and funds from the UK government and Innovate UK’s Sustainable innovation fund. Now, they’re offering two payment options for folks interested in their strong but lightweight e-bike.

Buyers can either get it in instalments with a payment of $699 via Indiegogo, followed by the two remaining payments ($1,250 and $1,300) or they can select an Indiegogo perk starting from $3,150 for the 250W motor CrownCruiser.
