Among incredibly light and powerful laptops like the ones from Acer, the IFA Berlin showroom floor also features more budget options. Among them is Dell’s new Chromebook that, while affordable, doesn’t really sacrifice too much on the looks front.
The new Inspirion Chromebook 14 2-in-one is a mid-range option that will find its way to corporate users because, even though it’s just $599, is made out of aluminum and not plastic.
Under the more expensive chassis of the 2-in-one Chromebook 14 you’ll find an 8th gen Intel Core i3 processor paired with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. It’s not a powerhouse capable of handling the latest games but, for office settings, it will do the trick, especially since it also offers a backlit keyboard and an EMR pen that’s housed in the base of the notebook.
The Inspiron Chromebook 14 2-in-1 will launch in the US on October 23rd and promises a very respectable 15-hour battery life.
