Couldn’t make it to the grand opening of Hamburg’s new opera house? Well, photos don’t do it justice. A drone tour might, though. You can experience a fly-by and fly-through of the Elbphilarmonie by two drones right now #actionmagic
Creative agency Jung von Matt and producers Simon & Paul created an interactive movie that guides the viewer through and around the new landmark and concert hall in Hamburg. Initially conceived as a way to get into the opera house before opening day, the experience is still available on its website.
You can choose the “slow & motion” mode where by holding the spacebar, you can have a FPV of the Elbphilarmonie at great speed. Upon releasing it, you’ll see details of the architecture of the building (in & out), as the video goes in slow motion. Either way, the video is accompanied by classical music, for a complete experience.
In “rock & roll” mode, you can choose to fly as one of the two drones and see views of the exterior as well as information about the remodeled 1875 warehouse, bound to hold a music education centre and the Kaistudio 1 or the 6000 plated roof. By the way, you can view the roof in different flying modes: aerobatics, nose dive or a round trip.
The fly-by is done at 85km/h and it’s not a steady ride, mind you! Take part of it here.
