Facebook has been reported as having a strange bug going around by some users: apparently, people have started to receive years old messages from conversations they already had.
The issue started gaining traction on Twitter for a while before Facebook finally caught on to it but by then a lot of users have expressed concern they might get to see old conversations from people they’d rather not think about anymore.
The Facebook Messenger feature keeps all of the user’s conversations even as far as years ago, unless the users manually delete the said conversations.
Facebook has, since then, apparently fixed the issue but the fact that this bug happened should remind all of us just how much access we’ve given Facebook and other social media platforms to a lot of details about our personal lives.
