Facebook launches a new tool meant to inform in a kid-friendly manner how user data is used, which is something we can all use considering Facebook hasn’t been a pro in communicating this.
Apparently, the in-app tool is destined to teach kids what the Messenger Kids app can share in terms of personal information like names and photos shared with other people, messages that can’t be deleted and how safe it is.
The privacy policy has been updated to integrate the latest features and show how Facebook shares information. Parents will also get benefits, and will be able to monitor their kids more effectively.
TheMessenger Kids’ parent dashboard will help parents navigate easily through recent contacts, chat history and the frequency of them, as well as the content send both ways. Also, parents will be able to log out of their kid’s devices with the help of a new remote device.
More importantly, parents will be able to downloads all the contacts and contact both sent and received, but keep in mind that Facebook will send the kid a notification if the parent requested a download.
