Want to take your hobby to the next level? This year is the time to invest in your photography career since Hasselblad announced the launch of a world’s first – X1D, a compact medium format mirrorless camera #fotomagic
Relatively small and with an ergonomic grip, this camera won’t be a hassle to carry around. Why is it worth your time and money? Well, it features a 50MP CMOS sensor that’s capable of taking pictures with 14-stops of dynamic range (think about dynamic range as a scale between the whitest whites and blackest blacks; the more stops you have, the greater it is, capturing more detail) and 14-bit color. It can take frames between 60 min. to 1/2000 of a second long and features an impressive ISO range of 100 to 25,600.
It can also shoot video with autofocus, at 30fps and Full HD H.264 compressed footage – not thrilling in any way, but then again, you’re not buying this camera for video.
Hasselblad X1D has a touchscreen interface on a 3-inch LCD, dual SD cards, built-in Wi-Fi and several ports: USB-Type C, HDMI and audio in/out. The body costs $8,995 or £5,990 and will work with two mount lenses, a XCD 45mm f3.5 priced at $2,295/ £1,564 and a XCD 90mm f4.0 priced at $2,695/ £1,837.
You;ll also be able to buy the body and XCD 45mm lens for $11,290 or both lenses at $13,985.
