According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, the much talked about Galaxy X from Samsung might hit the market as early as next year. Rumor is that Samsung might launch it at the Mobile World Congress in February.
The phone will reportedly have a 7-inch screen, which will make it too big to fit into anyone’s pocket, but of course, it’s expected to fold in half, wallet-like.
The company is believed to also be working on flexible OLED displays and curved batteries to accommodate the device. One side of the smartphone will sport the primary display while the other will have a ‘display bar’ and the cameras.
The foldable phone has been in the works for a long time, as Samsung filed patents and renderings since 2016.

The phone is reported to cost over $1,500 when it will launch, so as exciting as the concept might be, I think I’ll wait for a while longer before taking out my wallet.
