Fujifilm has finally announced a new wide-angle lens for the X-series cameras: the XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR.
The XF 16mm f/2.8 R WR was designed with a physical aperture ring as well as a focusing ring – you can adjust its aperture to a minimum f/22 setting.
The lens has edge-to-edge sharpness, a 9-blade rounded aperture and a minimum focusing distance of 6.9 inches. It can focus as close as 17cm away from the subject and has a maximum magnification of 0.13x and a filter size of 49mm.
The lens is dust and moisture-resistant and it measures 60mm in length and 54.4mm in width with a weight of only 155g but that is without the rear or the front lens caps.
The XF 16mm f/2.8 will come in black and silver color variants, which are expected in March and May, respectively, with a $400 price tag.
