Every year there’s an Active version of a Galaxy S flagship that is meant for those who value durability and battery life in their smartphone. It seems like 2018 will not be an exception to the rule as Slashleaks managed to get their hands on an image containing leaked Galaxy S9 Active specs!
The Galaxy S9 Active looks to follow the Galaxy S8 Active (pictured above) in a couple of ways. First, it offers the same, but massive, 4,000 mAh battery as its predecessor. Additionally, it has the same flat display as this is much more durable than the curved screen of the Galaxy S9.
The new smartphone, however, will be missing the impressive dual camera that the regular Galaxy S9 has. Instead, you will only have a 12MP rear camera, but this camera does come with the latest dual aperture technology. As for the selfie camera, it comes with an 8MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture.
Other specs include:
- a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset
- 4 GB of RAM
- 64 GB of storage
The Active versions of the Galaxy series tend to show up during the summer months, so we won’t have to wait long for a confirmation!
