Your partner’s trip to the mall turns into a shopping spree you can’t get out of? No worries, if you happen to be in Shanghai’s Global Harbor Mall you can distract yourself with a good gaming session #todaymagic
According to The Paper, several booths were installed in one mall in Shanghai for a one-month testing period. Each is equipped with a comfortable chair, controllers and monitors so that men and women can play games while waiting for their spouses to finish shopping.
If they aren’t big on the gaming scene, they can always watch TV, another option of the pup-up entertainment booths. The problem (or perk, depending on how you see it) is that users can spend too much time locked in the booth. There’s no air-conditioning or ventilation, so each user has to make the most of their time there.
