Nobody wants to see the dreaded blue screen with lines of text telling them the system crached – yet again. So, Microsoft decided to ease the pain with a user-friendly method: QR codes. #softwaremagic
Besides the sad emoji face, users will see something more on the blue screen – a QR code that, when scanned, will send them to a page that explains from A to Z what happened to their computer and why it needs to restart. There’s also a code you can give to that customer support person you’ve presumably called instead of pulling out your hair or shutting down the computer altogether.
The system update hasn’t gone live yet, so you won’t be able to see it right away. When it does, we’re hoping it will cater to all our needs, meaning instead of giving a, b, c, d, etc. options for why the system crashed, it will specifically adress our problems, one user at a time.
