Chinese manufacturer Gionee is getting prepping for a big unveiling tomorrow, April 26th. They have teased the launch of a new smartphone on their social media account. While rumors relating to the device have been scarce, it might be the Gionee S11, the handset we were expecting to see at the beginning of the year but has been postponed until now.

Their Twitter post is pointing towards a flagship smartphone with slim bezels, falling in line with the year’s mobile screen trends. If it’s the S11, as we believe, then the smartphone launching tomorrow will have a 5.99″ FHD+ FullView display, an 18:9 display ratio, and four cameras. Dual rear modules that are pretty much compulsory for a premium phone nowadays and will likely be present on the S11 as well as two front shooters. The camera configurations are said to be a combination of 16MP+8MP sensors while the main cameras will likely be 16MP+5MP.
Gionee S11 will run on a Helio P23 processor, with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage under the hood, and a 3,410mAh battery cell. This smartphone is expected to rely on a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear of the device; however, Gionee has been rumored to be working on a handset with in-display authentication technology as well.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long as Gionee’s event will be held tomorrow in India!
