Google has now joined forces with Disney to enhance story time reading for your little ones with Google Home – now, when you start reading one of Disney’s Little Golden Books out loud, your Google Home device will not only play music along, but also add sound effects to enhance the experience.

The titles Google Home supports will sound familiar to most us and they include Moana, Toy Story 3, Coco, Jack Jack Attack, as well as classics we all remember like Peter Pan, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, The Three Little Pigs, Mickey Mouse and his Spaceship, and Mickey’s Christmas Carol.

All you have to do is say “Hey Google, let’s read along with Disney” and, as you start reading, Google Home will also add the relevant sound effects or music to the story.

The assistant knows when to play what – if your child interrupts the story with a question for example, it will play ambient music in the background until the reading begins again.

You can also add your kid to Google Home by creating an account for kids under 13 via the Family Link and add their voice to the assistant.

For those of you who are looking forward to it, the feature is already up and running.
