Huawei’s Y9a was announced back in February like an accessible flagship, running on the Helio G80 chipset and is now confirmed.

With the MediaTek Helio G80 processor and a 6.63-inch LCD display of 2,400 x 1,080 resolution, the Y9a is basically a Mate 30 Lite with a 16MP pop-up selfie camera. Other camera capabilities include a main 64MP 2MP depth sensor and 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro cameras. The phone will cost about 200 euros and 200 euros and runs on EMUI 10.1 Android-based custom user interface.

Huawei Y9a comes outfitted with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, or an 8GB of RAM, but this will not be available in Europe. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the side frame, 3.5 mm jack headphone output and USB-C port, and 22.5W in fast charging mode and a 4,300mAh battery.

Sounds good? It might, except the phone’s limited availability because Huawei Y9a won’t be on sale globally, but only in few markets, and the first one is Iraq.

For now, all we know is the phone will be available for preorder in Iraq starting September 12 in three colors: Space Silver, Sakura Pink, and Midnight Black.
