IKEA just came up with a gaming range that includes desks and chairs, a neck pillow, ring light and more. The new collection caters to 2.5 billion gamers around the world, with high-performing, yet affordable gaming goods.
The new gaming range includes over 30 products, and their names are just one of a kind: Uppspel, Lånespelare, Matchspel, Gruppspel, Utespelare and Hudvudspelare.
In its attempt to take the gaming experience to the next level, the Swedish furniture company brings new desks and chairs, as well as smaller accessories like a neck pillow or a ring light for streamers – all at various price ranges to satisfy different needs.
According to Ewa Rychert, Global Business Leader of Workspace, IKEA of Sweden, ‘the needs of billions of gamers around the globe are very diverse, whereas the existing offer is rather technical and often perceived as masculine design-wise, despite around 46 per cent of gamers being female. We believe there’s a lot to be done to democratise the gaming experience. Now we take the first step on our gaming journey, and we do it by presenting affordable, high-performing gaming products and complete solutions that we hope reflect people’s personality and taste.’
The collaboration is IKEA’s way of trying to find new ways to make gaming blend into the home and it has been developed in collaboration with ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG).
