Instagram brings new controls to limit sensitive content in the Explore section, for users who want to be more selective and careful about the content they are exposed to.
According to Instagram, “you can think of sensitive content as posts that don’t necessarily break our rules, but could potentially be upsetting to some people – such as posts that may be sexually suggestive or violent.”
The new toggle is dabbed “Sensitive Content Control” and allows users to avoid offensive content from the Explore tab from the settings menu, where they can choose to either allow more this type of content or limit it from their Explore feed.”
The setting can be accessed through user’s profiles, by going to Settings > Account > Sensitive Content Control.
However, not all users will be able to access the feature yet. Moreover, according to Facebook, the feature that allows sensitive content may not be available to those under 18 years old.
