Instagram just recently received its very own Dark Mode for iOS but a new Stories functionality has also just made an appearance, which brought along new features with it as well.
One of them is a new ‘Create’ mode for Stories. Via this mode, the users will find an ‘On This Day’ button that can generate a post from that day in a previous year. The posts are chosen at random, if you’ve uploaded more than one post that day and once you share it, other people will see it in Stories as an embedded post and open it.
The Create mode also brings along new GIF formatting tools, quiz suggestions, polls and countdowns. According to Instagram the mode will help the users “combine interactive stickers, drawings and text without needing a photo or video to share. On This Day suggests memories and lets you share them via Direct and Stories.”
if you’re eager to get started, all you have to do is access Create, swipe along the bottom of the display of the Stories camera interface.
