After Facebook and YouTube’s Live Streaming feature, Instagram decided to embrace the trend of speaking on the spot to the camera. The platform has released this feature on the US market #mobilemagic
Instagram’s live video streaming is another way of giving users the chance to post temporary and instant content. While Stories allows limited video & photo length and a content lifespan of 24 hours, the streaming feature lets users record up to one hour of video at a time.
To start live streaming, Instagrammers have to swipe to the right from their feed, launching the camera. Instead of choosing normal or boomerang, they have to look for live. With a simple button tapping, the recording begins. Once the deed is done, followers will be able to see the recording by pressing the live badge above the account of the user.
Unfortunately, after a recording is posted, there’s no way of saving the video for sharing on other social media profiles or sites. Check the feature after updating the app, if you live in U.S. If you don’t, stay tuned for a worldwide release date.
