Kitty Hawk’s Flyer Is Ready to Take You to the Skies

Kitty Hawk’s Flyer is a personal flying vehicle which has been unveiled on June 6, after being redesigned and ending up looking nothing like the prototype it was based on.

The single-seater (which is all electric, by the way), has 10 sets of rotors and two control sticks and can reach speeds of up to 20mph. The company states that in the future, with some improvements, the Flyer could eventually reach 100mph.

It only has 20 minutes of flying time for now but Kitty Hawk’s CEO hopes that the company will be the hand that helps us to get rid of road traffic in the future.

The Flyer is apparently so much easier to handle than a helicopter and one would need about an hour’s training to get ready to take off to the skies. The vehicle supports a software that uses data from multiple smart sensors and it was designed with the goal of making flights accessible to everyone.

Of course, improvements will come slowly but surely, but we do admit that Kitty Hawk has come quite far in a very short time.
