Kyocera is all about the cameras – not just for automobiles, but smartphones, too. In its upcoming rugged phone, the company has squeezed in an action camera #mobilemagic
Kyocera’s DuraForce Pro is going to take things to the next level, pairing a rugged body with a camera you’d want to take on your wildest adventure. Called “Triple Threat“, the cam comes with a wide-angle lens, captures video in full HD offering a slow-mo and time-lapse mode. Don’t worry, it can film a bike race like the best of them and even shoot underwater thanks to the 810G and IP68 certificates.
As you’d expect from a phone of this caliber, it will do just fine under dust, rain drops, salt, high temperatures or low pressures. It’s shock-resistant and tremor-resistant and can be submerged up to 2 meters.
At this point, you might be wondering how is the spec sheet. Reviewing it quickly, you have your:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor
- 2GB RAM
- 13MP rear point-and-shoot camera
- 5MP camera on the front
- 5-inch 1920 x 1080 impact resistant display
- 32GB storage
- 3,240 mAh battery
An official launch date is so far unknown, but expect to go on sale this fall.
