It’s almost certain, folks: Apple will launch a redesigned MacBook Pro with Touch ID integrated in an OLED panel. A leaked image during the last macOS Sierra update confirms the rumors #hardwaremagic
The image found by MacRumors indeed shows the expected panel above the keyboard, where you’d normally find the function keys. In the image example, it is seen working with Apple Pay by letting the user take advantage of the Touch ID function. It seems that the “Magic Toolbar” (as many call it) changes depending on where you are and what you do. In this pic, the Apple Pay dialog shows a request for Touch ID.
It seems that the MacBook Pro featured is the 13-inch model with speakers located on both sides of the keyboard. Other than that, expect some changes in matters of keys and ports that we’ve talked more about here.
We’ll see everything unravel this week, on October 27, at Apple’s 10.00 am event. Stay tuned!
