LG has recently unveiled its mid-range version of a smartphone, featuring a catchy and outstanding naming and an appealing design.
The smartphone was launched in May in South Corea, and could potentially impress its mid-range competitors. Powered by a Snapdragon 765 and integrating a 6.8-inch OLED display, the phone has 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, an IP68 water resistance rating, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The LG Velvet has a 4,300 mAh battery and supports both fast and wireless charging.
With great specs and budget-friendly, customers wished this phone would be available globally quicker. That’s about to change soon, as the phone is promised to reach the wide market for the same great price.
According to Juan Carlos Bagnell’s Tweet, the Velvet “will cost less than the current KRW-to-USD conversion of $750. Pricing and availability in the US will vary by carrier, but depending on the US SKU it could cost more than $100 less.”
Sounds too good to be true? We shall see whether the upper mid-range handset will make it to the US market at an affordable price.
