LG finally entered the gaming arena and those looking for a powerful laptop capable of handling next-gen games should take a look at the LG UltraGear 17G90Q.
The 17-inch UltraGear is the company’s first gaming laptop and, since it has plenty to prove in order to convince potential buyers, has an impressive spec sheet.
The 17-inch screen is a 300Hz 1080p IPS display, more than enough to show maxed out graphics.
Under the hood, it uses a 11th-generation Intel Tiger Lake H CPU paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics, up to 32 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage, everything powered by a fast-charge 93W battery.
Everything is packed in a gray aluminum case, weighing just 5.82 pounds and having a decently slim profile (21.4 mm thickness), with purple accents for an understated gaming aesthetic.
In terms of connectivity, there’s everything a gamer might need and more.
There’s a 1080p webcam, a fingerprint sensor on the power button, plus plenty of jacks. The UltraGear 17G90Q comes with a USB 4 Gen 3×2 (Type C) with Thunderbolt 4, USB-C 3.2 2×1, two USB 3.2 Gen 2×1, HDMI, microSD, a headphone jack and RJ45.
The only thing we don’t know about this gaming laptop is the price but that’s set to change soon.
LG will present its first gaming laptop at CES 2022 on January 4th so we’ll get the full picture then.
