As we’re slowly rolling out into a wireless/ Bluetooth era, many of us find ourselves missing our headphone jacks, with more and more smartphone companies coming out with devices that don’t have them anymore.
If you’re really, really missing it, start-up Essential has now officially released its magnetic headphone jack adapter dubbed the Audio Adapter HD.
How much does it cost? That would be $149. What you’re getting for that price is a built-in ESS Sabre DAC and what Essential called an “audiophile-grade” amp that promise 24-bit/96kHz audio.
You have to be very into your audio to spend all that money on this accessory instead of managing with the USB-C dongle that’s usually included in the package, but if that’s what you gotta do, that’s what you gotta do.
If you want to grab it, the adapter is up for sale on the Essential official website.
