Don’t feel like choosing a show? Well, the good news is that Netflix is testing a programmed linear TV and movie channel. The idea of the test currently developed for Netlfix France called Direct is that if you don’t feel like making a decision, you’ll get a pre-programmed feed of popular movies, series and documentaries by accessing the Direct option.
Initially available in France, Direct will roll out to select areas on November 5 and extend to France through December and is particularly available to Netflix subscribers.
Why Direct is initially arriving in France as a test? Because is seems like many viewers in the country are more likely to watch programming without having to pick what to watch next.
“Maybe you’re not in the mood to decide, or you’re new and finding your way around, or you just want to be surprised by something new and different, ” the company said.
Recently, the company has also texted the Shuffle button. Placed just on right on the Netflix home screen, will generate content alike, based on your previous preferences, like something you’ve saved on your list.
The new “Shuffle Play” button is not the first test that Netflix has come up with lately, as users have recently discovered a shuffle option called “Play Something” in their TV app’s sidebar navigation.
