New Apple Emoji Characters Are Coming to iPhone, iPad, and Mac

About eight weeks away from the launch of iOS 14, Apple previewed some of the new emoji characters, as well as other software updates to arrive this fall.

New features like the Android-styled widgets, the App Library, smaller UIs for Siri and incoming phone calls, as well as more interesting features are set to arrive.

But let’s get back to the emojis! Approved by the Unicode Consortium as part of the Emoji 13.0 release, the new series of emoji include around 117 new characters. Apple previewed 13 of them:

  • Dodo bird.
  • Russian-style Nesting Dolls.
  • Piñata.
  • Tamale.
  • Pinched Fingers.
  • Boomerang.
  • Ninja.
  • Coin.
  • Anatomical Heart.
  • Beaver.
  • Transgender Symbol.
  • Bubble Tea.
  • Lungs.

Moreover, Apple will also come up with Apple will new Memoji stickers with different colored face masks, due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

Also, this time iOS 14 will make it easier for Apple users to find the new emoji, as one of the new features in iOS 14 is the ability to search them.
