The Unicode Consortium is once again preparing to launch new emojis and all eyes are on the shaking head emoji.
While this one should probably be dubbed the SMH emoji and will definitely be one of the most popular emojis of 2022, there are two other pictograms that deserve attention.
The first one is the goose, which looks like it drew inspiration from the popular indie game Untitled Goose Game.
However, it’s the second that’s most likely to see heavy use.
Among the 31 new emojis in 2022 is the “talk to the hand” one and, helpfully, it comes in both right and left orientations – and a variety of skin tones.

As you can see from the list, the rest of the new emojis include some cute things like maracas, ginger or jellyfish, but it’s doubtful they’ll see as much use as SMH or the new hand emojis.
