Siri was already your assistant with researching proper restaurants for a date or taking notes when you’re driving. Well, now, it can complete its job description by making payments directly to your contacts #softwaremagic
Sounds risky? Yes and… no. It’s riskier than going to the bank yourself, especially if you have curious kids that love to play with smartphones and to copy your every move. On the other hand, Siri won’t be able to confirm the payment if the phone is locked. Your fingerprints and PIN will be your biggest allies there. If you do decide to use your PayPal account in tandem with Siri then all you have to do is say something like “Hey, Siri, send X $100 using PayPal”.
Siri takes it from there and asks you to confirm the payment – that will come in handy in case she misheard you.
The service is available in 30 countries and could be expanded to more markets in the future.
