Royole’s Second-Generation Foldable Phone Is Here

Royole FlexPai 2 is finally here and ready for pre-order in China, where users can purchase it for 9,988 yuan ($1,471).

Royole is an 8-year-old company, focused on manufacturing flexible display technology. FlexPai was their first handset, followed by its successor called FlexPai 2. Of course, the recently launched version is so much better than their first-ever smartphone, bringing several revisions.

This time, the company focused even more on the display, and the 3rd Generation Cicada Wing flexible OLED display with Stepless 3S Hinge (180°) on the FlexPai 2 will stay folded flat without any gap. Royole has also reduced the thickness of the phone when folded by 40%.

Royole FlexPai 2 Comes With Snapdragon 865

The second-generation foldable smartphone runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC – which is an improvement from the first handset with Snapdragon 8150 mobile processor – and 8GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

For now, The Royole FlexPai 2 is only availabl to China for the following costs:

• 8GB + 256GB – 9,988 yuan ($1,471)
• 12GB + 512GB – 11,588 yuan ($1707)
