Believe it or not, Blackberry Mercury should be one of the reasons for excitement regarding this Mobile World Congress. It seems that the latest Android device from the Canadian manufacturer can shoot photos with the best of them (Google Pixel, in this case) #mobilemagic
Blackberry Mercury was first spotted at CES 2017 earlier this month, but at that moment the device was still in alpha stage, with many things up for change. Most of the specs were kept a secret, the company preferring to reveal just its design.
Now, leaker Roland Quandt says that the new phone will take photos as beautiful as those shot by Google Pixel. Why? Because the smartphone shares the same Sony IMX378 sensor with 12 MP resolution and support for 4K video.

The front camera is rumored to be either a Samsung S5K4H8 or an Omnivision OV8856. The main point is it will be capable of 8MP pictures with 1.12 micron pixel size and Full HD video at 30 fps.
As for processing power, we know it will sport a Snapdragon 625 chip.
People should really, really, REALLY stop saying the BlackBerry Mercury has a Snapdragon 821. It has a Snapdragon 625. Definitely. Really.

Could Blackberry Mercury become a favorite of Android users? We’ll see; after all, hardware isn’t everything.
