Samsung has several new mid-range smartphones coming up this year: among these, we can name the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53, both of which are close to their release date, as well as the Galaxy A23 and Galaxy A73. These latter two however, are still unannounced and they have only appeared in regulatory approvals in a few countries.
However, the support pages for the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53 are now available on the official Samsung website in India. The devices are listed with the model numbers SM-A336E / DS and SM-A536E / DS, respectively.
On these support pages it’s confirmed that both devices will be available in a dual-SIM variant and, while the website doesn’t specify additional specs or a launch date, it’s pretty clear that the latter is just around the corner.
After all, the Galaxy A33 and A53 have both been receiving regulatory approvals left and right lately.
Based on previous rumors, the Samsung Galaxy A53 is expected with a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with FullHD + resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Powering it all up might be an Exynos 1200 chipset with 6GB/8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
We might see a main 64MP quad-camera setup on the back, with OIS, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery with 25 W fast charging, an under-display fingerprint scanner, an IP68 rating and Android 12 out of the box.
The Samsung Galaxy A33 could be fitted with a 6.4-inch display. The rest of the display specs should be the same as those on the A53 and we can expect the same battery size.
In terms of cameras, it’s said that the device will feature a 48MP main snapper but that’s pretty much all the rumors have been stating so far about the A53.
We’ll probably hear more about these devices in the coming weeks.
