A new rumor went online involving Samsung Galaxy S10 and its specs. It seems that the phone will come with 12GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage.

At the moment, Samsung’s highest memory and storage combination can be found in the Galaxy Note 9 with 8GB and 512GB and for all that, you have to pay $1250. So, it’s not that hard to imagine how much the 12GB with 1TB combination could cost if the rumor proves to be real.

We also know that the Samsung Galaxy S10 will come in at least three variants with one to sport a 6.7 inch display and it’s most likely that this variant will be the one to hold the 12GB/1TB setup.

All of the next-gen Galaxy S10 phones are expected to come with a recently unveiled Exynos 9820 processor, the company’s first in-house chipset which also prides itself with a tri-cluster CPU design.

Great news or overkill?

If you think about it, it would make sense for Samsung to really push for something like this: the company is facing increased competition from the Chinese manufacturers who are slowly swamping the smartphone market with more affordable and solid options.

DJ Koh, Samsung’s mobile unit CEO reportedly released a statement to the executives and employees, saying that he was “sorry about the currently struggling status of the Samsung smartphone business and will do my best to overcome the crisis with the upcoming Galaxy 10 and foldable phones.”

If Samsung does make this storage option a reality, it could make a difference in the race against rival manufacturers.
