Samsung will be holding its yearly Unpacked event on August 11 this year and the company has been gearing up to introduce its new foldables to the world throughout the summer.
The Galaxy Fold 3 and the Galaxy Flip 3 will be debuting alongside the Galaxy Buds 2 and we have received leaks and rumors about all of them in the past few weeks. Now we finally have some clear images on how the Galaxy Z Flip 3 cases will look like.
The designs are a little unusual but then again, the phone itself is an unusual sight in the current mobile landscape and we wouldn’t have it otherwise.
The cases will be available in Blue, Purple and Yellow color options.
Thanks to these cases we now also have a clearer idea of the smartphone’s design so we know that there will be two cameras set up on the back, alongside an LED flash. Next to the camera module, we can guess a secondary screen.
One of the cases features a D-ring attached to the middle, where the hinge is. We’re not really sure why this was a necessary addition as we doubt that the phone is rugged enough to withstand being clipped to a backpack or belt. Perhaps Samsung has something else in mind for it that we haven’t thought of, who knows.
Another case goes even further than that, adding a belt and a metal loop into the mix. This case comes in two colors: navy blue and orange, which is the boldest combination of all the cases.
From the renders, it looks like the belt goes around the hinge, which might mean that the belt can be used to open the device. Or maybe it’s there just for the sake of the design.
The final case is completely clear and it comes with a D-ring as well. It’s a bit difficult to see from the renders but it does not differ at all in design from the purple and yellow variants shown above.
With the unveiling date quickly approaching, we’ll find out more about the specs of the device in the days to come. We’re not going to lie – we’re pretty excited to see what Samsung has in store for us.
