CES 2019 brought a host of flashy gaming laptops but Samsung bucked the trend with their Notebook Odyssey.
The company’s latest laptop is a gaming one but its aluminum case is much more discreet, making it a good choice for workstations as well. The only aspects reminiscent of gaming laptops are the red highlights, so this is indeed a more mature, toned-down gaming laptop.
The Samsung Notebook Odyssey brings the top-of-the-line Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card alongside the 8th gen Intel Core i7 CPU. Those are paired with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD storage alongside a 1 TB HDD for extra storage.

At 5.2 lbs and just 19.9 mm in thickness, the Samsung Notebook Odyssey is an attractive entry on the gaming laptop market. It will be available this year and pricing remains to be revealed.
