Breaking the mold is pretty risky, sure, but sometimes it really pays off. In this case, a matte white OnePlus 9 Pro would definitely be out of the norm for the company as well as many Android phone makers, but, turns out, it could be a hit among users.
After the OnePlus 9 Pro launched in three colors – Morning Mist (a shiny grey), Pine Green, and Stellar Black -, OnePlus COO Liu Fengshuo took to Weibo to tease a shockingly matte white variant.
The majority of commenters encouraged the release of the phone in this color scheme, although that’s not a guarantee that it will actually happen.
This phone might be a canceled version or just one that will launch in selected markets, starting with China most likely.
OnePlus could take advantage of a bigger launch this fall if they were to bring it to market. We’d normally bet on a OnePlus 9T event later in the year but recent rumors point to the opposite. It seems that the company will not come with a T series this year.

You should know that the phone comes with a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Hasselblad’s blessing. A Snapdragon 888 chip keeps this phone alive and there are two storage variants available, a 128GB or 256GB.
The phone’s rear camera is a quad module with a 48MP main camera, 8MP tele, 50MP ultrawide, and a 2MP monochrome.
