Recently, the Shenzhen-based startup confirmed that the OnePlus 7 Pro will feature an OLED panel that has an A+ grade from DisplayMate, the industry standard screen evaluation, and calibration firm.

This impressive feature makes all the difference in terms of the viewing experience, which puts the OnePlus 7 Pro in line with great smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S10 or iPhone XS Max, which were also rated A+ by DisplayMate.

But that’s not all! The company also confirmed that the smartphone’s display has something that these competitors lack – a refresh rate of 90Hz, that means 90 frames-per-second. Therefore, transitions and animations will look significantly smoother on such a display. A similar feature was launched by Apple, on its latest iPad Pro models.

Keep in mind that this amazing feature implies we’ll have on our hands a pricey smartphone, as the OnePlus co-founder Pete Lau confirmed for The Verge that the costs for future displays were three times higher than the previous ones.
