That’s why this Samsung picturing Putin on the back looked like a hoax at first… until we found out Caviar, a Russian phone customization company, was behind the golden and ruby stunt #mobilemagic
Those guys actually dressed the back of a Samsung Galaxy S7 in gold, surrounding Putin’s face with 190 authentic rubies, making it a true temptation for any jewelry thief. Of course, the model is extemely limited, only 3 devices being available at the exorbitant price of $27,213!
Caviar didn’t stop here (must know something about Putin’s fans that we don’t) either – it prepared other two versions, more “accessible”. There’s a Mixed Metal model, made from white and yellow gold, without rubies for $2,570 and a simple one with a gold-colored titanium plate on the back at $2,418. A bargain, we know.
