Apple is expected to release a number of products this year, a new MacBook Air being one of them.
The previous model has already been a resounding success thanks to not just the pricing but also the M1 chipset so we are expecting the 2022 MacBook Air to be even better.
For some time there’s been talk about a range of MacBooks that might come in different color options and it’s a rumor that has excited the Apple community at large, even if the company itself has not made any announcements.
However, a tweet from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman might shed some light on what Apple’s intentions are, and they’re not really looking into expanding the MacBook Air line in any rainbow colors.
If anything, if Apple will stick to classic colors such as Space Gray, Silver and maybe Champagne Gold, if the company feels particularly frisky.
The much-reported idea of the new MacBook Air coming in a range of “several colors” is probably exaggerated. Right now it comes in space gray, silver and gold. I wouldn’t expect more than those colors (though the new gold will be more champagne like) plus my favorite iMac color. pic.twitter.com/vYl56FOikg

Gurman ‘s point of view contrasts with the rumors of recent months relating to the new MacBook Air. Last March for example, trusted analyst Ming-Chi Kuo informed the fans that the new MacBook Air will arrive in more color options, though Kuo was not very specific regarding what those colors might be.
We expect the new MacBook Air however to have a redesigned body that will fall in line with that of the latest Pro. There is the expectation that the device will have the M2 chipset under the hood, though, once again, Ming-Chi Kuo has said that there’s almost no doubt Apple will still use the M1.

There’s no information about the dreaded notch either: will it make an appearance or not?
According to some (unconfirmed) rumors, Apple should present the new MacBook Air at the WWDC, set to start on June 6th. If this is the case, then the wait is almost over.
