Ubisoft Forward Features Immortals Fenyx Rising, Scott Pilgrim, and More!

Ubisoft Forward last week brought to light some of the games we’ve been waiting to hear about, new games we didn’t expect, and updates to currently beloved games. Without further ado, here is everything presented at the main show of Ubisoft Forward:

Immortals Fenyx Rising

Announced previously as Gods and Monsters at E3 2019, Immortals Fenyx Rising takes the player to a mythical land based in Greek Mythology. Plays as Greek warrior Fenyx, you meet Hermes and are tasked to save the Greek gods from Typhon. In order to do so, Fenyx must travel through the lands, battling mythical beings in order to free each of the Greek gods. The entire story is narrated by Prometheus and Zeus, the witty banter between the two a surprising and nice touch in the gameplay trailer.

The game is open world in style, with seemingly heavy inspiration from Breath of the Wild. Each area of the world is ruled by a different Greek god with different challenges set to free them. By setting the gods free, Fenyx gains certain powers that will help her on her quest.

The game will be available on all platforms December 3rd, but Stadia players will be able to get a free playable demo ahead of time.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake

Originally released with much critical and fan acclaim in 2003, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time makes a triumphant return. The game will include enhancements while respecting the characters and story line. Upgrades from the original include new combat mechanics, a better camera, updated visuals, and a new target system that lets you do acrobatic moves easier. Motion capture was also used in order to make the cinematic scenes more realistic.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will release on January 21st, 2021.

The Rainbow Six Siege announcement came in two parts: in-game updates and an esports announcement.

The first was related to their newest update: Shadow Legacy. In particular, Sam Fisher will be making a triumphant return to the Tom Clancy universe. Additionally, it was announced that the game would have a free next-generation upgrade, as well as 4K 120 FPS enabled by the end of the year.

The second announcement was the Rainbow Six World Cup. Set for summer 2021, this will be a country based competition. Much like the Olympics or World Cup, players will eschew their traditional esports teams in favor of competing for their country. Former NBA player and French basketball superstar Tony Parker will serve as the competitions ambassador.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game Complete Edition

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is back! Originally released in 2010 before it was taken off the markets likely due to some licensing issues, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World features classic side-scrolling beat ‘em up gameplay.

Watch Dogs: Legion is highly anticipated due to its unique gameplay and theme. Set in London, the Resistance looks to end oppression in a futuristic London. Its main concept is that all characters in the open world can be recruited to your team, has unique backstories, and have specific talents and skills.

Stormzy and Aiden Pearce will also be bringing their special talents to this world. Stormzy is an artist and activist who will appear in the game as part of a special Fall on My Enemies Mission. The Stormzy mission will be available at launch. Aiden Pearce, on the other hand, is a returning member of the Watch Dog series, first appearing in the original Watch Dogs. Aiden Pearce and his story arc will be added via a season pass post-launch.
