World’s Fastest Phone Charging, Coming This End of February

Corona aside, the show must go on. Mobile World Congress is, therefore, opening its doors at the end of February, and with it, many phone makers will debut their 2022 flagship series. One of the interesting mobile technologies we should see is the fastest charging ever for a smartphone.

On February 28th, the world’s fastest phone charging will be unveiled. The company behind it is Realme, a brand that has been known to challenge the status quo when it comes to phone battery and charging.

We know Realme will debut the GT2 series globally but it’s unclear whether the tech will come with the phones or if we’re looking at a demo at this stage.

After all, their previous record-breaking charging solution, the 125W UltraDart, never made it to a commercially-available smartphone.

As for its contenders… nubia, OnePlus and Xiaomi are on their tail. nubia’s Red Magic 7 Pro might show up with speeds of 165W or close, while Vivo iQOO 7 and Xiaomi 12 Pro already boast 120W fast charging.

Another challenger is Infinix. A less-known brand in the U.S. and Europe, it has already teased a concept phone with 160W of power.

We’ll have to see if Realme can beat the others and come on top this end of February.
