Xiaomi just unveiled the gorgeous Mi Mural TV, a super thin TV that looks just like a painting.
The Mi Mural TV uses a 65-inch custom Samsung 4K display panel but what makes it sticks out (or not!) is the fact that it’s just 13.9 mm/ 0.54-inches thin, blending into the room just like a painting.
To really drive that idea home, Xiaomi will also ship the TV with custom artwork from 45 different artists, from Van Gogh to Monet, that will shuffle as a slideshow. While it’s not quite as thin as the Mi TV 4 from two years ago, it’s definitely a spectacular sight.
With a six-channel Soundbar and subwoofer with support for Dolby and DTS-HD dual decoding, owners of the Mi Mural TV will also be able to properly enjoy the musical arts.
To align with Xiaomi’s other projects, the Mi Mural TV also has the XiaoAi assistant for asking questions and controlling other smart devices in the home. Even more, it also allows for video calling due to the fact that Xiaomi partnered up with Tencent Cloud.
The new Xiaomi TV went on pre-order in China for 6999 Yuan (around $1000). Now let’s hope it shows up in other territories as well.
