A foldable phone with two huge screens, an almost invisible hinge and slimmer than anything else on the market?
If these details about the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 2 come true, this phone has the potential to really popularize foldable phones.
A new report from Digital Chat Station spotted by Gizmochina reveals a lot of details about the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2, which carries model number 22061218C and is codenamed internally “zizhan”.
From what we know so far, the Mix Fold 2 has an internal 8-inch display and a 6.5 inch external screen to use when you keep the phone folded, with support of ao 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Xiaomi also fixed the problem of the crease from the previous model (pictured above), making the hinge almost invisible.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, so clearly it’s not a mid-range device.
Most importantly though, this will be a very slim phone if this report is to be believed. According to Digital Chat Station, the Mix Fold 2 is only slightly thicker than the charging port.
We also expect to see a 50MP external camera with Leica support and the Xiaomi’s imaging chip Surge C1.
Hopefully, Xiaomi will take the wraps off this device in the following weeks and we’ll learn more about it soon.
