Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has been teasing the Redmi Y3 since the beginning of April. In a series of tweets made by Redmi India it was confirmed that the device will arrive with a 32MP selfie camera, a waterdrop notch and a 4,000mAh battery.
The battery represents a serious upgrade from the Redmi Y2, which hosted only a 3,080mAh. The phone was also teased to arrive with a textured, gradient design on the back.
Now the phone has finally made an appearance on Geekbench where it got a single core score of 1236 and a multi-core score of 4213.
The listing also tells us that the device will have a Snapdragon 625 chipset under the hood and, considering the chipset is slightly outdated, we can expect the phone to have a pretty affordable price on launch, which is scheduled for April 24th.
