You’ll definitely start humming “This is Major Tom to Ground Control, I’m stepping through the door” with this AR app. #realitymagic
The New York Times just released the David Bowie AR app that allows you to see in augmented reality the artist’s best outfits. While you won’t be able to try out his Lightning Bolt suit, you will be able to explore it at leisure.
The Bowie AR app supports both ARKit and ARCore, Google’s own framework, so you can try it on either of the two operating systems.
The entire augmented reality experience of David Bowie’s fabulous costumes is available via the New York Times app. The publisher scanned them at the Brooklyn Museum at the “David Bowie Is” exhibition.
If your phone can’t handle it, at least check out this New York Times article, which comes with a few 3D models of Bowie’s legendary attire. That said, we advise you to upgrade your mobile device soon, since there’s plenty of amazing AR projects coming your way, like The Walking Dead game.
